may student of the month reese brueggeman

We are honored to have Reese Brueggeman as our Pontiac May Student of the Month. The teachers shared the following about Reese:

Reese is such a hard worker! She is extremely caring and thoughtful!
Hard worker, very respectful towards other students and teachers.
Reese has been a wonderful student all 3 years at Pontiac. She displays great character and is a great example to others. She is a fantastic musician.

Reese’s parents are Maura and Kirk Brueggeman and she has two older siblings: Max is 19 and Kira is 17.  Reese will be attending  Belleville East next school year.

Reese has been an Honor Roll student at Pontiac all 3 years. Reese’s favorite subject is social studies because she enjoys learning about history.

Reese has participated in band and softball while at Pontiac. She is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society.

Outside of Pontiac, Reese participates in Jr. Lancer softball, participates in Sunday school at church, volunteers yearly at the O’Fallon Policeman’s Breakfast with Santa, and she recently joined the Belleville East band which will keep her busy this summer.  In her free time, Reese likes to read, hang out with friends, and watch her favorite TV shows: The Flash and Criminal Minds.

When asked about a possible future career, Reese responded, “I don't know for sure yet but something like being a criminal psychologist or some sort of law enforcement.”

When asked about how to make the world a better place, this was her thoughtful response: “If I could do one thing to make the world a better place I would make sure that every kid in every country has access to the internet. With this past year almost everything has become virtual in almost all of our lives. Extra curricular activities, school, and other important events have been streamed online. And with that almost every kid has had to do online school. Some children may have had a device but without the internet they were out of luck. If every kid had internet access the world would be a better place for children to learn and thrive. “

Reese is a very thoughtful and charismatic person and we wish her well in the future.
