Safety requirements have changed over time. Our current school buildings were not designed with secure entrances, current fire safety features, or full accessibility for all students and visitors. The bond referendum outlines a plan to address these safety and accessibility needs so students and staff can learn and work in environments where they can feel safe each day.

Congratulations to Robert B for representing Pontiac Junior High as our Rracial Harmony Award Recipient at The Gathering this year! Way to go Robert!

Our schools work hard to make the most of the space available each day. However, classrooms are crowded, and some students are learning in hallways because there is nowhere else for instruction to take place. These conditions affect how learning takes place and are addressed through the long-term planning included in the bond referendum.
